The Talega Maintenance Corporation will host a public viewing of our time capsule's contents on Monday, December 11th, from 10am to 5pm in the Fireplace Room at the Talega Swim & Athletic Club Clubhouse, 100 Calle Altea, San Clemente, CA 92673.

Join us for our next quarterly meeting on Thursday, December 7th at 6pm in the Fireside Room of the Community Center.  In honor of Ole’ Hanson Day on December 6th, our meeting will feature a presentation on – you guessed it – Ole Hanson! Larry Culbertson, our resident Ole expert, will share information and photographs on the astounding life and times of our town’s founding father. Additionally, we will be honoring a San Clemente resident for their preservation achievements with an Ole Hanson Preservation Award. Cookies and refreshments will be served. A small holiday boutique will offer items for sale in support of the Historical Society. Please invite your friends and family and join us.

In partnership with the City of San Clemente's 'Santa's Village by the Sea', 'Puttin' on the Glitz' is a festive holiday stroll down Avenida Del Mar. On Thursday September 14, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, we will hold our Annual Meeting in the Ole Hanson Fireside Room at the Community Center, 100 Calle Seville. Members will be voting for three Directors to serve a two year term on the Board. Our Nominating Committee is putting together a slate of candidates which will be posted in the September Newsletter. Following the election, our archivist, Jackie Dooley, will have a presentation on archiving. Jackie is a retired professional archivist so this promises to be a great presentation.
